Hi Paul
The black covers (the ones with the DMC sign on) are origionally
held in place by inbuilt two pronged fir trees on the underside of
it, these have a habit of snapping off once the plate has been
removed or even when origionally fitted did not fit snugly down and
hence like mine then fixed down with self tapping screws. Your
screws if they wont come out are just spinning so they will need to
be pulled or drilled out try using a small pair of mole grips and
pull up at the same time as turning them out, but mind the plastic
sill plate :).

Mike

Dont want to force it.

tightly and fitting flush.

this can be pushed up flush by hand, but whatever clips it in place
is not gripping it tight now. I also noticed that 3 screws are
missing from underneath this cover but where these are missing, the
cover fits perfect here. I have tried removing the exisiting screws
to determine size to replace missing ones, but they wont come out,
the heads will damage first.
