John,
The carpet should be glued to a simple piece of brown hard-board.

All.
Question 2 of 3, separate posts so I can keep the answers straight!
The carpet in my front luggage compartment (trunk/boot?) sinks into
the well where the spare tyre sits. Do other cars have some type of
backboard underneath? I have had a look at the various vendors'
websites and can't see anything obvious.
I would like to get a feel for the price of something `proper' before
having a piece of wood (or similar) cut to fit.
Thanks in advance
John Chapelhow
