Hello all,
I've just returned from helping my mate buy his first
car; a VW Scirocco GT2!
I just thought I'd bring this up because of the
well-known fact that it was also designed by Guigaro,
for which it bares a strong resemblance to the
DeLorean.
I have to say that the Scirocco feels a lot like a
DeLorean on the road. The automatic gearbox feels the
same, the steering is the same weight, and the driving
position is about the same height off the ground.
It really is DeLorean-style motoring on a shoe-string.
So for all you members out there that want a D, but
like me the bank manager won't let you yet, then get
out there and find yourself a nice Scirocco; because
you'll get pretty much just as many people looking at
it as would if you were in the genuine article.
See you in the future.
Regards,
Mike.
