Hi Phil,
The fram filter reference in an older mag was smaller than the oil filter itook off mine. In fact a vauxhall astra 1.7td gm engine will fit although slightly smalll. I went into my friendly parts shop and went through thier collection and decided on a MAHLE OC266 as this is the same diameter as theblock facing and about 15cm long. This should give it enough oil flow. Cost was £3.50 to me. No doubt others will give different brands, Paul (i think) is making a new parts list to obtain serviceable items. The Halfords air filter HAF288 is correct.
Hope this helps.
Nick.

Hi all,
Can someone confirm for me the part cross ref. number for a new oil filter. I got a new filter from a motor factors based on some part #'s supplied in an old DOC mag from 1999 but this turned out to be the wrong sort. Iwant to check my part #'s before going back to order the right one based on the numbers from last month's mag! Thanks in advance,
