That's another reason for undoing the tierod end;
the force you're introducing into the suspension is
lead through the proper parts; the knuckle, ball joint
and "wishbone" into the frame.
The suspension won't twist that way!
BTW, undoing the tierod end is NOT my idea; it was a tip
in the installation manual for the wheather proofing kit
that I bought from PJ Grady when I had to replace my AD.
And indeed it WILL budge, just remember to tighten it all
up REALLY well (280Nm of torque from the top of my head)
when you're done; it IS a critical part of the suspension.
And of course NEVER drive your car without this nut!!!
