I've been thinking about a second car for some time, and have become
very interested in the Sera after the recent discussion of the vehicle on
the DOC list. I'm going to see one in Gatwick this week. Does anyone know
any specifics about this car? It's got to be more reliable than the average
Delorean, and it has funky butterfly, scissor, jack-knife, gullwing doors
too. Does anyone know someone that has one? I've found an above average one
for £3000, but it's not a good colour (goldy/green, yuk). Perhaps I should
start up a museum of unusual cars? Two's a good start?
Underneath it's a Toyota Corolla, I think. 1.5 engine, fairly reliable,
all are imports of course. Quite nice cars. I know of a couple of
drivers on the gothic groups and could probably dig out their email if
you're seriously interested.
One thing, though - £3,000 is unusually cheap. Good fresh import Seras
are typically £5,000. I'd be suspicious of it's history. Though the
colour probably doesn't help - most I've seen are black or dark
metallics.
