Using the wipers prologued on a dry windshield causes them
to draw more current than usual, but that shouldn't melt a wire,
it should melt the fuse...(#3 rated at 10Amp)...
I'd check if the wiring is allright upstream, if there are no splices
into this wire for other high current applications.
The thing that baffles me most is that it's a GROUND-wire that
melted, so all I can think of now is another draw put on the same
wire that shouldn't be there.
