Hi Phil et al,
With enough time and energy, anything is possible. I believe that, even at
17, you'll get some sort of insurance on your DeLorean if you try hard
enough... however, down in the sunny south <cough> a friend's brother was
quoted over £1400 third party on a 15 year old vauxhall astra (1.3 too!)...
at 18! The insurance industry is just not a friendly place at the moment.
For example, when I was 19 I owned a '94 Vauxhall Calibra Turbo (ins, group
18) and paid £1k a year fully comp... now I'd pay more for less cover and
I'm 23 with full no claims (and I had 3 points back then too!)... go figure.
I wouldn't say my DeLorean insurance is cheap - but its managable (if
pointless!).
Don't give up hope - but don't expect a £500 policy either! ;o)

outright DeLorean owner in the UK (?) but as far as insurance goes for under
23 year olds, as Dan W points out it's a no go area as far as I can see.

enough sorting insurance for my daily driver '93 K-reg Honda Civic (which,
rather hilariously, is group 10 insurance)

takes the piss a bit, but hey that's life I guess.

Jordan on the road legally with our DeLoreans, then I'd love to find out
more!
