Considering the speed you were going your car got off lightly! Even 30mph can be nasty with an animal like a deer. Someone here at work hit a deer with their Alfa GTV and it needed extensive work (new bonnet, and some straightening of the bulkhead at the front of the chassis)... a tribute to good engineering, even after 20 years eh!
More happy to hear you're alright than the car though...
