Hi all,
Yes they are of a ford Cortina, your best bet is to go to a ford
scrap dealer who sells off the shelf parts, then they are not likely
to be corroded. Take your original with you and don't tell them it is
of a DeLorean and they should be able to find one. I think I paid
about £18 for mine and it looked pretty much brand new and has worked
fine for the past two years.
The only adjustment I had to make was filing a small bit off the pipe-
mounting bracket but you will see what I mean when you install the
calliper.
I think the part numbers where the same.
Break callipers are fairly easy to service, is there anything
actually wrong with the one you have? If you push the pistons out,
clean them and the cylinders with some fine wet & dry paper and put
in new rubber seals they will be as good as new.
I have done this with the driver's side one on my car and it has been
ok since.
Don't chuck the old one away unless it is completely corroded,
someone might want it.
Regards
James RG
