I have been working quite hard of late researching into upping the HP of the stock DeLorean PRV-6.
Firstly, let me tell you that for those who don't already know, I am finally bringing a DeLorean over from the US which is one
of a pair. My good friend Rich is having the other and this is an Auto with the Island twin turbo on it.
I personally do not rate the Island twin (if you can accept the opinion of someone with little or no experience of actually
driving a DeLorean!). Running such a low boost and not intercooling it seems like an inefficient use of available resources.
I have made contact with a company over here who do "one-off" engine mods and the chap I've spoken to is very confident about
the PRV-6. I posted what he told me a week or two back.
I would also hesitate to pay out on a PRV-6 Plus. It might be worth the money in the US, but we can do so much more on the
same cash here. After all, the PRV-6 plus was developed here...
The automatic tranny is not a strong one, and allegedly would not handle anything over 200hp
