Hi Nick
Remove the air box and push down lightly, 2 or 3 mm, on the air sensor (the
big round silver disk under the air box) while someone tries to start the
car. While starting the sensor should move up and down on its own, injecting
fuel. If no joy then...
Get a spare spark plug, pull a plug lead and connect it to the spare plug
then place it on the manfold (ie earth the body of the plug) then get
someone to start the car. If you get a spark then you need to check the fuel
system and that the cold start valve works OK.
Let me know how you get on and see what to try next.

PS Has your car got a small relay on the left side at the back by the balast
resistors?
