Mine does not seem to pump until I turn her over. I discovered that when
replacing the "O" ring and had to turn her over to get it pumping. Ill run
a few more tests tomorrow and may find it settles down.
Ill keep you informed.

Ps: got the reverse switch fitted too and its nice to be able to see behind
when reversing now.

The accumulator should in no way affect the cold start performance.
Except that if replacing a duff accu, the pump now has to pressurise a
larger volume before gaining the pressure to fire the injectors. It
really helps to allow the pump to prime a couple of times (you can
usually hear it when you turn the ignition on but this is a quirk and
not all D's do it)
