Yes Martin. Mine looks like plain steel with (What looks like asbestos) plastered to one side of it.(Which I dont want, for obvious reasons)
The other heat sheild Ive seen from SpecialTAutos is Stainless and comes with a seperate fibre sheet. http://www.specialtauto.com/delorean-parts/images/heat-sheild-4.jpg

I was basically asking if the one you have, is OEM(With asbestos)?  (Which I presume is what was used) or a newly made version without?
