We bought Flopsy/Gizmo through eBay as a non running, battle-scarred
spares/repair project. We wernt expecting much, so when we picked her
up from Tilbury 4mths after 'doing the deal' we wernt too disappointed
by what was lurking in the back of the warehouse waiting for us. We
were quite chuffed though when she fired up just 4 days after getting
her! (although Paul Salsbury can vouch for the noise it made!!!) Its
been a long 12mths, but I love the car to bits and wouldnt be without
her. She's also a total contrast to Dave's one - which is nice!
I guess its a whole different ball game if you are looking for
something 'mint' that just needs making UK legal....
As with anything though, its a case of 'buyer beware' and remember
that cars can look better in photos then they do in real life.
Looking forward to meeting y'all at the NEC this weekend,
Claire
