Remember everyone never mention at the car shows where the door locks on the
DeLorean came from ........... the Austin Allegro. Other great favourites
that I have never driven include the Maxi, Princess, Marina... what a
collection of er... beauties..... I wonder how many of the other parts on
the DeLorean came from the British Leyland parts bin. The rear brakes are
from a Jaguar.... what a contrast!!!!
I know the engine and transmission are French, electronics are Lucas (UK) &
Bosch (German), styled by an Italian, engineered by Lotus, built in Northern
Ireland (Dunmurry) and a stainless steel, gullwing concept by a Romanian
(DeLorean (The Lorean)) I think that is right... have I missed anything
else????

p.s. My car was from Arizona and I guess that is where the copious amounts
of sand came from that I found sat on the rear most part of the epoxy coated
frame that can be seen when you take out the tail light clusters. I suppose
the sand absorbed any moisture as after cleaning the frame I found an
immaculate finish residing below.
