That's why I said "could stay " followed by "I would still put some
support under it though."!!!!!!!!!

The gearbox cannot be supported by its mounts alone without riskig
bending the mounts, and they're pretty hard to some by :-) When Tinny's
"engine" came out, Jason put a block of wood across the pontoons and
strung the gearbox up to it.
