My opinion is:

I would be very cautious of mounts like this. It’s one thing that the mount can hold a brick but more important is how much can your vents hold, or those little brittle vanes to be specific. On some new cars the vents are made out of thick and strong plastic but in case the D the plastic is fairly thin, not the strongest there is and over 30 years old. This might not end well.

iPhone 6 mount for stock DMC? Try this it fits onto your AC Duct and fits any size cell phone..according to them they claim it could hold a brick..soo it just might be the right thing to use in a delorean..here is the web site..

  I'm driving my DeLorean more often these days and need to mount my iPhone 6 so I can see the Nav App. Any ideas that don't involve screwing into the leather?
