Yes, Mine do and we have built in dampers on all of them.
Do the stabilus versions have dampers so they slow down near the end of opening? If so, I'm in for a black pair still.

I remember buying a
pair of NOS struts from my local DMC Dealer (Gengreus Motorcars a Mercedes
dealer) back in 1982..they were well UNDER $40.00 for the PAIR..I never used
them and had them until 2005,and as far as I know they were still fine.they sat
in my garage stored away for all those years.
