Subject: [DML] HELP!! Fast Power Drain after Tachometer freaking out

Monday, while driving around, my Tachometer started freaking out, wildly going from realistic, to 3000 to 2000, to redline, to realistic and so forth. The next day, the battery was stone dead. I removed the battery (less than a year old) and charged it overnight, reinstalled it last night and, this morning, it was dead again.

Has anyone seen this behavior in a major appliance ((Ghostbusters ref) DeLorean)? Can anyone please tell me where the short circuit might be? I really hope to fix this by Sunday since its registered for a Car Show.
