[DML] Greenish Stains on Steering Wheel

We are in the later stages of restoring a 1981 DMC. It sat for 8-10 years, so we have had to go through and replace numerous items. It's back up and running, sounds good.

Now we are moving to the interior. Overall the interior is pretty good, but the leather steering wheel has a greenish discoloration .... approximately 1/3 of the the steering wheel.

Any ideas of what this could be, and the best way to bring the steering wheel back to life?

Thanks
