RE: [DML] Removed throttle spring *Thumbs Up*

Matt, The full throttle switch ( which is a small switch ) laying down and
the Idle speed micro switch are 2 totally different switches that do 2
totally different complete things.

I hope people don't get the 2 mixed up and think they can do away with the
idle speed micro switch that helps control the idle speed by shutting off
the vacuum to the ignition distributor. It also opens the orifice on the
idle speed motor at the same time.
I do sell for $29.95 a new Idle speed micro switch that won't hold back the
throttle linkage to cause a fast idle. I ship them all the time.

Where as the full throttle switch enrichens the fuel system when you push in
on the gas peddle all the way to help performance.

Since I run the 3.0L engine with a B280F throttle body, I had been wanting
to reduce the size of the throttle spool assembly. So I took the B280F
throttle spool and the stock 2.85L DeLorean throttle spool, and made a
frankenstein throttle spool from the two of them. Fine. What I didn't like
was the amount of force required to depress the accelerator. So, I removed
the topmost throttle spring (the one shown here:
http://specialtauto.com/delorean-parts/images/full-throttle-sw.jpg. Wow,
what a difference! I would encourage the rest of you to try it. I don't
use an idlespeed microswitch, so having the throttle spool return with
enough force to depress that may be an issue. Mine seems to return just
fine, even though I do have a TPS sensor hooked up.

Along those same lines, I do now have a full-throttle microswitch for sale,
and it will go on eBay shortly unless someone shoots me an e-mail.

Matt
