RE: [DML] car ins. for my Delorean

As do I. I have found that these "special" deals I receive in the mail are a joke. They don't want to insure my Delorean because: the company is rather "conservative"; it is a "high-performance" car; the parts are hard to find, and expensive; it would be too difficult to repair. Puuuuulease!!!! As I have told several companies, it is not THEIR job description to repair the car, *I* take care of that! Their job description is to PAY THE BILL! Too many people tell the Ins. Cos. to "just get it fixed", so now they have expanded their authority to telling the owners where, how, and how much. It has become a scam, and we are now forced to be part of the situation. So far, I have had NO problems with Allstate. Tacked it on ~24 yrs. ago (following being dumped by Farmer's after 5 yrs. of coverage). My '38 Buick is, however, covered by J C Taylor, who this year raised the premium $8 after ~16 yrs. Oh, well. You might want to consider one of the "specialty" ins. cos. for your "D". Unless you can add it on to an existing vehicle policy. Good hunting! Drive Stainless Robert VIN 6924
