If you think it sucks now, you should have seen it a year ago. It wasn't
uncommon for there to be no more than one post a month. Many months would go by
where I would wonder if the DML even existed anymore.

I was an early member of the DML back I'm the late 90s and I must say that James
did a great job at moderating it. I couldn't believe how much work he would do
to filter posts.

I stayed on the DML until around 2003 until I realized I would never own a
Delorean. In 2009 I ended up purchasing a Delorean and it was a no brained to
get back on the DML. I knew nothing about DMCTalk at the time.

A few days after I got home with my car I jammed the power locks shut while the
doors were open. It wasn't until the next day when I got a response. That's
not fun for a newbie when he needs help now. I ended up having to cover the car
with a blue tarp and rope to keep it "shut".

After a few days I learned about DMCtalk and how I could post questions and get
answers in realtime.

As a newbie it was a no brainier to switch to DMCTalk because I could get help
fast. I pretty much gave up on the DML because I couldn't get help when I
needed it.

Fast forward about 2 years. I got locked in my car while it was about 100
degrees outside. Fortunately I had a smart phone and was able to post on
DMCTalk. Within minutes people were responding and helping me get out of the
car. That wouldn't have happened if I had to wait for a moderator to approve a
post and then wait again for him to approve an answer.

The only reason I post here again is because I know I can get help and help
others quickly. An added perk is there are a few seasoned owners in this group
suck as Mark Levy, Captain Carb, and even John Hervey. I suspect there are a
few other seasoned owners on here who choose to stay away from DMCTalk as well.

If this forum goes back to heavy moderation it's just going to appear to be non
existent like it was a year ago.

Shoot, has anyone noticed that the website doesn't even work
anymore? Every time I try going to it I just get redirected to a delorean
