I'm a little confused.  What do you mean by R12 bogus hype?  Do you mean there is a lot of hype saying R12 is a must or do you mean the pollution it can cause is a bunch of hype?

I think I have a can of R12 somewhere around my house and am willing to sell it to anyone that is licensed to handle the stuff.  I don't think I can ship it legally though so I'm pretty much only able to sell it if you are near Baton Rouge or New Orleans.
