[DML] Re: Ground Bus Redux



I don't think anyone has a real problem with your idea to complement the original grounding system with another. Where I disagree is when you say the original one was not sufficient. It was and is unless it is compromised by corrosion. The discussion about the capacitors is a "red herring" and has nothing to do directly with the operation of the grounding system. Their only use is to reduce any interference on the electrical system that could cause a problem for the radio. If all of the caps bother you, you can upgrade the radio and then you wouldn't need any. Newer radios have much better internal suppression and signal-to-noise ratios.
