The flex coupling I tried worked great as a vibration reducer. As stated in Message #85260, I removed it not because it failed to perform its function, but because tortuous lower column geometry kept throwing it towards the high side A/C hose. The connection between the steering rack and the upper column is more convoluted on a DeLorean than on any other car I've ever seen. The lower U joint in particular really jumps around. I suspect the car that the lower shaft was intended to go into had a much straighter path from the rack to the upper column.
