[DML] Re: I found a new rattle noise - Steering column U joint?

Since you're in a quoting mood, let me add one from the DML Rules of the List: "Personal impressions, links to sites, links to other information or personal experiences are especially welcome."

My personal impression is that a flexible steering coupling would be an asset to these cars. My personal experience is that every other vehicle I have ever owned, including a 28,000 lbs school bus, has a flexible coupling in its steering column.

Surely no one on this esteemed forum is going to seriously argue that a flexible steering coupling would in any way be harmful or detrimental to the car....

Steering is one of the car's most simple and well-executed features. You don't see owners with well-maintained steering complaining about excessive vibrations or poor road feel because that problem just doesn't exist in the DeLorean.
