RE: [DML] fuel sending units

The units are nothing new. China has been making them for a long time but
like Martin say's they will bounce around because of our tank design and we
have no computer control for damping. Also note there are only a few
resistance pads for the arm to go to as the tank gets low. Same as what was
in the previous sender that most didn't like.  
That is why I'm still repairing the old unit at the rate of about 4 to 5 a
month and will have a new sender that I'm waiting on to come in that will be
like the old unit with a little more modern technology. 
Will have the float and a more linear resistance as the float goes up like
the old unit with resistance wire.

Citroen use similar combined units too, in fact when I saw the unit in my
Xantia the idea crossed my mind some years ago, but the problem with a lever
arm based unit is that it'll be up and down like a yoyo as you drive without
some electronic damping

If you write "with a fuel pump" I wonder if it is a combination fuel
pump/sender unit Ford and GM vehicles a.o. use (the ones with the float on a
tiny arm).
