[DML] Re: Question for Megasquirt Users

I happened to ask a Megasquirted owner that very question: can one person develop a fuel map that everyone else just downloads. He said "no." In his opinion, it is impossible to have a one size fits all fuel map, even if the hardware is 100% identical.

Since he has installed Megasquirt, and you have not, I am inclined to believe him rather than you.

Since every install is a custom set-up there are a lot of places for minor variations to creep in. Obviously for someone else's map to work the entire system has to be identical. You point out the obvious. Do you consider M/S conversions to be competition in your quest to convert everyone over to carburetors? It's going to be a LOT more expensive anyway. Lets scare them into thinking you have to pull off the road every once in a while to reboot. Maybe you DON"T understand M/S.
