Re: [DML] Wedgectomy results

I just read the write-up on the terminology and the wedgectomy. A LOT of good work! Just curious, what happens when you lock both doors, one open and one closed, and then try closing the locked, open door? BTW just removing, cleaning and lubricating the latches goes a LONG way towards making everything work as it should. Everything works SO much easier than trying to make it work with 30 year old grease and dirt! You could also add a warning about all of the sharp edges and they should be covered with tape before you cover them in blood! For working on the doors I made up a hook and cable like the one I saw Rob G had. It is a piece of cable with a loop on one end about 6" long and a bent hook on the other. You loop it over the anchor pin and then hook it into the wedge on the door. Now you can sit on the sill and work on the door comfortably. To view the files mentioned you go to the files section and click on the file. You do have to log in.
