Re: [DML] RE: Parking brakes in England.



Well, I do have an owner's manual.
In there it's also refered to as "parking brake".

However in many a thread on (English tongue) fora like this one this specific part of the car had been called "Emergency brake".

I don't mind the use of various words for the same part, but it would help if all contributor writing about a problem would use the same (preferably the "official") word while refering to a part.
If that part has a abbreviation or acronym and that special abbreviation or acronym is being used, it would be helpful to newbies if the official name is mentioned too.

That may contribute to quickly understanding explanations of problems, and also will be a benefit to non-English tongued subscribers.
