Pickup trucks and SUV's are the most common vehicles on American roads. If a DeLorean impacts one of the most common vehicles in America, its much vaunted crumple extension will be virtually useless.

You can be forgiven for not understanding the size disparity risk, but it is something drivers of small cars on American roads should be keenly aware of, simply by looking around them in traffic if nothing else.
