Martin is the same person who swore that a Volvo water pump pulley wouldn't work on a DeLorean until I installed one on my own car. He swore the exhaust system emptied into the left side of the muffler until I cut one open. The only way Martin will accept anything he disagrees with is for me to do it to my own car. 

According to ever reliable Wikipedia, glass reinforced polyester resin is significantly less strong (tensile strength) than steel:
I guess that is why people don't build bridges and skyscrapers from fiberglass.

I have seen first hand what happens when a fiberglass canoe hits a rock. From that I will extrapolate what would happen if I dropped my DeLorean on its roof.
