[DML] Re: Modifying front end..

A factory bracket obviously won't fit with my I beams. So I made my own. My brackets do differ from factory brackets in that they run the entire width of the crumple extension, transferring vertical forces to both the original outside edge *AND* the inside edge -- doubling their effectiveness if you will.

BTW: if you look closely at my passenger side I beam, you will notice it is slightly bent. That happened when I beached my car on a concrete island in zero visibility during a Georgia tornado outbreak (the trip where I drove Jim Franklin down to get his car). That corner of my car was suspended by the I beam alone, with the weight of two passengers inside, as well as all the crap I usually carry under the hood. I still carry some yellow paint from the island to this day. That is how strong my I beams are. Martin doesn't like them, but I have found them to be very effective in real world abuse.
