There is no such material as "plastic", it's a property. Glass fibre can be used to reinforce many polymers including polyester resin (what we tend to call fibreglass). There are many flavours of glass fibre, there are many recipes for resins and their application...

I thought the (stock) bodies were glass-reinforced plastic rather than
fiberglass. For some reason I understood the two materials to be different.
Am I mistaken?
