I have heard of many people that have a lot of problems with their cars, but I can honestly say that I have had what I would call problem free with my car. There is over 50,000+ miles on the car now. I don't drive usually even 1,000 miles a year any more and it starts up for me all the time unless the battery is old and needs replacing. I have found my Delorean to be very dependable and I have owned it since April of 1983. I am an original owner. 
Also, I don't do anything special when I put it away, but use the battery disconnect switch that I made and installed.
