[DML] Re: Advantages of Spec .01 Exhaust

True dual exhaust and catalytic converters are not mutually exclusive. There are plenty of cars running both, DeLorean and otherwise.

Even Spec .01 has plenty of room for catalytic converters:

Pass through shells in my case, but real converters could easily be substituted.

Note also that carburetors and low emissions are not mutually exclusive. Nearly every single car for sale in the United States 1981-1983 (DeLorean model years) was carbureted, and satisfied the exact same emissions standards DMC did. The carbureted Honda CVCC engine was so efficient it didn't even need catalytic converters (CVCC's didn't get converters until 1983).

Don't let your personal biases obscure facts.
