No I bought a used bar and at the time I was told there were only a few used bars available if any and people were holding on to them if their bar broke. 
Before I found a bar my car was just a giant paper weight and I did not want to chance breaking a used bar. I just put the car in storage and did not want to deal with that problem again. I did inquire about making a bar but that went nowhere. Now I am very happy.
