Re: [DML] Upgraded Front Suspension

Mike mentioned that he had experimented with turning the lower arms into wishbones. He also said that while it is *his* approach, it is merely *an* approach. He acknowledged the reasons behind the design as it stands.

Lotus went from a design almost identical to the Delorean towards what is effectively a lower wishbone.

I think Mike is also the guy who said at Eurofest 2006 that he hand built a wishbone LCA for testing. The 2 statements seem to be in conflict. Which is the "better" design, a LCA that cannot move forward/aft? or one that moves with the arc of the ARB?

Just out of curiosity, anyone know how it is done on the Lotus Esprit? Had the same thought on the rear ARB discussion (even though Esprit is MID engine, and may not have the same issues).
