Re: [DML] JZD and the Cocaine Sting

A jury would have no problem convicting JZD of using drug money to shore up his failing enterprise, especially in conjunction with all the financial shenanigans that Scotland Yard and Parliament were already investigating.

No juror is going to condone threatening to kill a little girl.

Surely lawyers at the FBI would have known that.

The FBI's job wasn't that hard. All they had to do was have money at JZD, and he would do pretty much anything to get it. Threatening to kill Katheryn would never have been necessary.

That death threat story is so preposterous that I marvel people still believe it.

Did JZD's lawyers ever mention it in court? If not, why not? It surely would have been in his best interest to have done so. The FBI would have been pilloried in the popular press, and quite likely subjected to a congressional review.

JZD most likely fabricated the story after the trial was already over -- yet another lie for his personal PR (no different than lying about his accomplishments at Pontiac, his severance from GM, etc).
