[DML] Re: ham radio antenna

I know one member down in Australia devised a bracket that would mount using one of the bolts for the rear upper screen finisher for a CB.

Another method I've found out about when I picked up a spare set of louvers from the junkyard. The person drilled a hole into the louvers to mount the antenna, but on the bottom/backside of the louvers they glued a large sheet of aluminum to act as the ground plane, and then just soldered a wire from that to connect it to the chassis. I don't know how well this worked for tuning SWR, let alone how the rest of the car was set up since all I found of it was the louvers. But it's an idea, and fiberglass is easier to repair than stainless steel if you're drilling holes.
