I for myself totally ignore the foolish/ingorant/irritating comments.
Think by yourself "I know more than they do, let them."
 Consider it's envy and little knowledge make them say stupid things over and over.

It saves you the ache in the stomach and may bring the smile back on your face enjoying touring in your car.
