I had caught a sniff of this but nothing for certain.
Beautiful cars are all about flowing lines hinting at speed and power. The DeLorean is not the most beautiful car in the world. I put it into the same bracket as the AM Lagonda and likes. And I love it all the more for that. But the original intention was to build a performance car. Aerodynamics, power, speed, fluidity. I am certain Giugiaro's priority would have been the above... Then maybe the doors.
