TEAM DELOREAN TO SEARCH FOR MISSING CHILD IN NATIONAL RALLY
Car Number â??DMC-12â?? joins the 2010 Fireball Run Adventurally

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, UNIVERSAL STUDIOS ORLANDO, Floridaâ?"
Santa Barbara area resident Ronald Ferguson, and Pennsylvania resident Allen Hamilton, will be driving a classic 1981 DeLorean in the 2010 Fireball Run Adventurally and Race to Recover Americaâ??s Missing Children.

â??Team DeLoreanâ?? will be working to locate one-year-old Alexis Hartman, who is believed to be in the company of her father and another woman. They were last known to have traveled from Pennsylvania to Winchester, Virginia. Team DeLorean will be taking the young girlâ??s photo and information across the country on a 3,500-mile campaign to raise awareness and help recover the missing child.

â??We are thrilled for the privilege to participate in this event,â?? said Ronald Ferguson, â??We are ready to bring some much needed awareness to Alexisâ?? case, and to give her family hope for her safe return.â??

The Fireball Runâ??s Race to Recover Americaâ??s Missing Children is the largest active recovery effort for missing and exploited children. Each team is assigned a child from a home region along with posters to disperse along the route. A decal featuring the child is affixed to the vehicle, creating a rolling â??milk cartonâ??. To date, this effort has assisted in the recovery of 35 missing children.

Partnering with the event is the Klaas Kids Foundation. One of the biggest advocates for making America safer for kids, Marc Klaas will himself also participate in the rally - bringing his message to the streets of America while honoring the memory of his daughter, Polly Klaas.

This yearâ??s event promises to be the most challenging, scenic and diverse experience so far. Teams will travel over 3,500 miles in 9 days, driving everything from Lamborghinis to Mustangs, Ferraris to Chargers, and movie cars that include another DeLorean - the â??Time Carâ?? from â??Back to the Futureâ??. Along the way, teams solve clues and complete challenges in an attempt to earn points. In addition, there are racing challenges, the first of which will take place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Think of it as â??The Amazing Raceâ?? reality show meets Motorsport!

The Fireball Run Adventurally is a national event headquartered at the NBC/Universal Studios in Orlando Florida, with safety sanctioned by the United States Auto Club (USAC), and welcomed by city leaders and law enforcement in each host city. The 2010 event starts September 23rd in Henderson, Nevada and concludes October 2nd in Galena, Illinois. The event encourages the public to come out and show their support.

All are encouraged to visit website www.teamdelorean.org and observe REAL-TIME tracking of the car as it traverses the country. You will also be able to send messages and even suggest answers to help solve the clues the crew may post. Of course, if you see the car approaching your location, you are encouraged to join up and support YOUR team!

â??Team DeLorean â?" Car Number DMC-12â?? is sponsored by the DeLorean Ownerâ??s Association, which is the worldâ??s leading enthusiast club for the marque and dream of John DeLorean.

Stay tuned for more information.
