RE: [DML] Fuel distributor o-rings

I think this is more common than generally realized. Had this same issue in 6195 and have heard of it from several other owners, too. Dave M. (Bitsyncmaster) provided me with a Viton o-ring that has been doing well for over a year now. The viton material seems to perform better in this environment than say nitrile or other compounds.

Try a viton ring of the correct size.

The smaller of the two 0-rings in my fuel distributor fuel pressure regulator keeps getting chewed up. I will put a new one in, drive the car and there will be a chunk taken out of it. Looking at the distributor from the rear of the car, the missing piece is at the 3 o-clock position. Has anyone experienced this? Is it time for a new distributor? Is the distributor something I can take apart to look into? I assume this is the cause of my hot start problem.

Thanks

Steve
