[DML] Headlight switch installed, but working correctly?

Hey all.
I finally got around to installing the new headlight switch from DMC. And it works! But...
There are two things that I am wondering about and I hope someone might have some knowledge...

First of all, the headlight indicator on my instrument panel (you know, the green light above the spedometer indicating your headlights are on) isn't lighting up when the headlights are on. The instrument backlight light comes on with the headlights, but the indicator doesn't. The high-beams indicator also does not light up.
Is it possible that one of the connections isn't being made? The connectors were a real pain to push together, but none of the contacts popped out the back so I am assuming that they all mated properly. Is there one that might not have made a connection (and would you happen to know which color might control the those indicator lights?)

Secondly, the front panel doesn't seem to sit back into its position exactly like it did before I removed it. The screw is lining up, but it seems that the panel isn't getting seated back far enough, and perhaps it is sitting a little higher than before since the headlight and hazard switches seem to be right at the bottom of their holes instead of in the center of their holes like I remember. Or maybe I am just noticing it know. Either way, it seems like the screw is just barely grabbing, making me think that the panel should be shoved in a little bit further, but I just can't see how it could be pushed back any further. Is this normal?

It seems with these little delorean projects the hardest part is always getting things to go back together nicely...

I appreciate any suggestions or encouragement.
Thanks!
-Ryan
