[DML] Car Insurance

I have to remind everyone, you CANNOT compare insurance State to State. The rules vary so much you are not comparing equals. What may be a good deal with a particular company in one State may not even be available in the State right next door. Also keep in mind things change over time. What may have been a good deal when you got it doesn't look so good after comparing quotes from other companies several years "down the road". One way to find a good deal is to get quotes from several companies before you have to renew. Another way is to go to car shows and ask around what other owners are doing. Classic (collector, historic, etc) is usually a much better deal but it generally comes with some severe limitations aimed at preventing you from using the car as a daily driver. On the plus side they won't "Book Value" it and total it for $1,000. And the Deductible is usually either low or not applicable. This is a subject where you really have to do your own homework. Everyone's situation and expectations are different.
