Re: [DML] Agreed Value

I am planning to up mine (as per my conversation at he social) since
values vary pending condition and have to be compared to your car
specifically, it is best to try and get PJ Grady to give you a written
estimate.

Given what I know of your car Aaron, $30k would be fine.
I have choosen to put mine at $35k to allow continued climb in price over
the next several years so I don't have to worry about it for a while.

You can try to do more without a written agreement if you want. When I
went from $20k to 25k, Grundy just said "OK" via a phone call and didn't
require anything written

During the past DMA Spring Social, insurance came up in conversation and a
few people talked about Agreed Value for their DMC. I was going through my
paperwork tonight and being that I have JC Taylor, my value is agreed but
I'm thinking it may be time to up the value. Right now I'm agreed for $21k
and $30k seems more in-line with the value of the cars these days.

My question is what are people using as their agreed value these days for
their classic policies? Do the companies just take the value or do they
question it? I've never done this, so I'd like to know what I'm in for, if
anything.

Thanks!
