Hello DMC News operator, I am a parent of a student at Okemos High School who is involved with putting on the musical The Wedding Singer. Okemos is a small community outside of Lansing Michigan. The Wedding Singer is based on the 1998 movie starring Adam Sandler (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120888/) that takes place in 1985 and has a lot of 80's nostalgia in it. A large piece of the film and musical production is a Delorean. And that is why I'm contacting you today.

I got your name from the DMC web site. Is this something that you or one of your members might be able to help with ?? Do you have members in the Lansing Michigan area that you could pass this along to ??

Here are some of the details that might help you. The performances for the musical are over 2 weekends, 4/23-24 & 4/29-5/1. Rehearsals have already begun but to make sure they could incorporate the car into the production they would need to have it earlier, say by 4/19. So the car would be needed from approx. 4/19 - 5/2/2010.

Could you please pass this along to any of your membership who might be willing to help make this musical "extra special". I know how difficult it is for someone to just donate a car to complete strangers. I am also a antique car enthusiast - I own a 1952 Plymouth, so I will personally make sure that any donation is treated with the utmost care and respect.

Unfortunately, the school is unable to pay for the privilege of using a prop like this. I can offer a nice thank you in the musicals printed program and some tickets to any of the performances they'd like. I'm sure there will be lots of photo's taken -- I am also a professional photographer-- and I certainly can make sure you get copies.
